Our Story: From Sere Street to Your Cup
Share
Sere Street in New Orleans was more than just a place—it was home, filled with the comforting aromas of home-cooked meals, freshly baked treats, and always, always a hot pot of coffee. At the heart of it all was my great-grandmother, Mrs. Pinky, a gifted baker and chef whose love language was food. She had a way of turning simple ingredients into something delicious, filling our family’s kitchen with warmth, love, and flavors that lingered long after the last bite.
One of my fondest memories with Mrs. Pinky was our ritual of enjoying Tastee’s doughnuts with a fresh cup of coffee. Some mornings, we’d sit together, a warm box of doughnuts between us, while she poured cups of coffee for herself and all of her great grand kids. We'd dip our doughnuts into the rich, smooth coffee, letting the flavors blend. It wasn’t just about the taste; it was about the moment. Sitting there with her, listening to her stories, feeling the steady presence of her love—that was my favorite thing in the world.
Those moments taught me that food and drink are more than just sustenance; they’re about connection. Mrs. Pinky believed that a good meal and a warm cup of coffee could bring people together, turning ordinary mornings into cherished memories. She made even the simplest traditions feel special, and those lessons have stayed with me ever since.
Sere Street Brews was born from that memory, from the belief that coffee should be more than just something you drink—it should be something you experience. I wanted to create a brand that honored the rich traditions of family, flavor, and togetherness, just like the moments I shared with Mrs. Pinky. Every blend we craft carries the same warmth and nostalgia, bringing people together over something as simple, yet powerful, as a great cup of coffee.
With every sip, I hope to share a piece of that story, that feeling of home. Sere Street Brews isn’t just about coffee; it’s about tradition, love, and the moments that matter most. Because sometimes, the best memories start with a warm cup and good company.
Welcome to the Family!
